The mission of Gulfview United Methodist Church is to foster the spiritual growth of its members so that they may bear much fruit as devoted disciples for Christ.
Very few of us here are from here. We have an ecliptic group from all parts of the country and even some international members. The one thing we all have in common is that we all love each other. Many of us are separated from our blood relatives and we have found a new family in the Gulfview brothers and sisters. We don't know which family members God is going to send us next but we have lots of love to give and we welcome a chance to be your family too. Whether you live here locally or just visit the beach on occasion, we invite you to share worship and fellowship with us and watch your life change.

Gulfview UMC was formed in May, 1955; however, the actual church building (our current sanctuary) was not finished until 1956. On Sunday, February 12, 1956, the first worship service was held in the new church building.
The Cornerstone was laid in November 1956 and was celebrated with a dinner for members. The meal was served by the Methodist Women, who were well known for their cooking skills. The dedication of the church and a mortgage burning was celebrated in 1962.
Gulfview UMC is a unique church. The congregation comes from all over the United States, Canada, and visitors come from all over the world - all here to worship together. Our doors are always open to everyone to join in our ministry for the Lord.
